The Hands Behind Every Urn
Most Peaceful Pets urns are made by Kim in our Bungendore workshop. The rest come from a small circle of fellow Australian artisans she has gathered around the business — potters, woodworkers, glass artists, weavers and metalsmiths who believe a farewell deserves the care of human hands.
A Few of Our Makers
Led by Kim, every maker in our circle is invited after a review of their craft, their materials, and the care they bring to commemorative work.
Kim — Founder & Lead Artist
The creative heart of the family. Kim has been making things all her life — clay, timber, paint, whatever sits still long enough — and she shapes most Peaceful Pets urns with her own hands, and listens to every story herself.
Read our story →The Potter
A stoneware potter in the hills who has thrown vessels for thirty years. Ash glazes, mixed from timber offcuts, give each of her urns a surface that can never be repeated.
The Woodworker
A third-generation cabinetmaker working in salvaged native timbers. His urns are joined without a single screw, finished with beeswax, and signed inside the lid.
The Glass Artist
Trained at the furnace, she gathers and shapes each urn freehand — and can work a small portion of ashes into the glass, so the vessel and the memory become one.
The Weaver
A basketmaker who grows her own willow. Her woven urns are light, warm and fully biodegradable — often chosen for natural burials and garden resting places.
The Metalsmith
A founder and engraver casting brass and bronze in the classical tradition, for families who want an urn made to outlast memory itself.
Your Maker
When you begin a commission, we introduce you to the maker whose craft best fits your story — and you talk with them directly, from first sketch to final photograph.

Become a Peaceful Pets Maker
We're always looking for artisans whose work carries warmth and care. If you make vessels — in clay, timber, glass, fibre, stone or metal — we'd love to see them.
What We Look For
Craftsmanship, honest materials, and the temperament for commemorative work: patience, gentleness, and reliability. You don't need to have made urns before.
How It Works for Makers
You set your prices and your pace. We bring you commissions, handle enquiries and payment, and take a small fee only when a piece sells.
